Why so many jokes about Ri Ri's dress?

What is wrong with this dress?  I thought it looked classy and regal.  But apparently, there were many people who disagreed.

Quite frankly, at least she didn't show much skin to get noticed.  So many other celebs came scantly clothed.  However, she had the bold color, and the fur hem line and a train for days. The hair style was not befitting of the dress though.  I would have worn a high bun myself.  Overall, I thought Ri Ri commanded attention with this dress and got what she hoped for that evening.
